A functional blood chemistry review helps to identify red flags for imbalances, especially when paired with signs and symptoms.

Some of the imbalances I look for involve digestive, gut, thyroid, immune system, vitamin or mineral deficiency, iron processing, mitochondria health, autoimmune tendencies, blood sugar, detox ability (liver/gallbladder/kidney), and more.

HAIR TISSUE MINERAL ANALYSIS - $100

The HTMA is a hair sample test that identifies mineral imbalances, mineral ratios, and certain heavy metals.

DUTCH HORMONE TEST - $350+

The DUTCH test stands for Dried Urine Test for Comprehensive Hormones and involves collection of a small amount of urine on filtered paper four times a day. The DUTCH TEST measures hormone metabolites from the dried urine samples.

Blood and saliva tests do not measure cortisol rhythms and estrogen metabolism like the DUTCH does. The absolute level of your hormones matter, but what can matter more is what your body does with those hormones. Does your body turn testosterone into 5a-DHT? Does your body turn estradiol into 4-OH estrone? Are you metabolizing and eliminating estrogen from your body? The DUTCH shows this.

There are a variety of DUTCH tests to choose from. Together, we will decide which one suits your symptoms and situation. Cost will vary depending on the test chosen.

ORGANIC ACIDS TEST - $319

The OAT is a urine test that measures intestinal and microbial markers such as candida, yeast, bacteria, and more. It also examines nutritional markers (vitamin status) and metabolic markers. This is a great one for anyone looking into the gut-brain connection. It is especially helpful and easy to use for children.
